Salesgenie issued a release stating their intent to have the worst ad in the game this year. With three ads in this year’s game, they are creating ads “in the hopes of capturing America's collective "thumbs-down crown" for the second consecutive year.”
Salesgenie’s ad (see below) was ranked as the least favorite of all the ads in the USA Today AdMeter poll and on AdBowl last year.
Like last year, this year’s ads have been created and written by the president and founder himself, Vin Gupta. The funny thing is that there was no indication that last year’s as was intended to be bad. Here is a quote from him in last year’s press release “we've got a simple and clear message that will resonate with every business owner, sales executive or entrepreneur.”
According to our analysis of Super Bowl advertisers last year, the ad got them in the top 10 of all advertisers after the game with a 2% share of voice. More details on that report can be found on our site. It almost make you wonder if they can still have the worst ad now that they now that they are
openly striving for it.
